The Shared Equipment Core has historically been used to house equipment that research technicians and faculty can be trained to use, then are charged a fee for self use of the equipment. All equipment from the SEC core was moved and merged under the Cellular Engineering Shared Resource (CESR) in June and July 2023, since they were overseeing the equipment and maintenance.
